Our Suppliers

We cook good, honest, flavourful food that is British at its heart. There may occasionally be influences from other modern European cooking styles but we will seek to source British produce and prepare the dish in a British style where possible. We love taking advantage of rarer cuts of meat & cooking them low and slow in just the right way to enrich the meats with flavour.

We choose our suppliers carefully and where possible choose those who have similar values to our own. We are currently working with:

AB Fruits

A family owned and run business that has been established in the county of Bedfordshire for over 30 years. AB Fruits pride themselves on sourcing the finest and freshest produce coupled with an unrivalled level of service and commitment to their customers.

They make purchases from their suppliers on a daily basis and offer a diverse range of local, domestic and continental produce which is always fresh and in optimal condition. Working with local farmers and sourcing from continental markets such as London, France and Italy, means that they can offer a year round supply of fresh and seasonal produce.

GCH Fishmongers

GCH Fishmongers are a local family business founded in 2015, with industry experience exceeding 80 years. Offering premium day boat quality fish daily, all sustainably and ethically sourced.

RP Meats

A family run business, established in 1987, RP Meats have always moved with the times. They are proud to serve a range of wholesale and catering customers with a range of English and imported meats. Their experienced team have extensive butchering knowledge, great customer service and produce fantastic prime quality fresh meats.

Marstons

Having acquired the Charles Wells Brewing and Beer business in Bedford in 2017, and with Charles Wells himself acquiring the original brewery at an auction in our very own State Room in 1875, Marston’s was the obvious choice for our drinks supply. We continue to have a close relationship with the team who like to use the Swan for meetings and events throughout the year.

Bottle Proof

Our cocktails are made by the award winning Bottle Proof, all hand crafted using a double measure of premium spirits and served by our enthusiastic bar team, delicious every time!
